## Story

Did you feel that step? Nobody walked in. You did.

Nobody in this room moved but the camera, carried in step by step. In 2019, a lab in Parma filmed exactly this: an empty table in front of a patterned panel, three seconds each, as a still shot, a zoom, and a walking Steadicam ending on the same frame.

Sixteen viewers watched in 128-channel EEG caps. Rhythms over their motor areas dipped more for both moving shots than for the still one, and the walk did it most. No one named a Steadicam, but afterwards eight of them mimed walking, holding a camera that wasn't there.

It's one lab and a small sample. A 2023 study of 44 people adds the brake: moving cameras made people feel more involved, but not more aroused overall.

Our studio, rig and stand-ins are built and lit in code, after the study's description.
