## Story

55 percent of homes in Finland have their own sauna.

Statistics Finland counted 3,248,159 dwellings in 2024, and 1,778,259 of them had a sauna of their own. In all, Finland is estimated to have more than 2.4 million saunas.

You may have read that Finland has 3.3 million saunas. That figure goes back to a single 2010 estimate whose method was never published.

Do you have a sauna where you live?
